Welcome to M&M Magic Reviews

So you want to buy a magic trick but you can't be sure if the trick is for you.
"Can I perform it? Or, must I be a Jeff McBride or Lance Burton?"

Well, before you shell out those big bucks see what we have to say about it. Simply find the trick you're interested in from the list below, click on it and read the review.

We take no money for our reviews and run no advertising on our pages. So, try as they might to influence us and what we have to say about their products, we can't be bought (at least not yet). We give our honest opinions about the products we review so you can be sure if we say it's a great trick, buy it, that you won't be wasting your money.

We do invite you to send us your original effect for review. Be forewarned, however, we call 'em like we see 'em. BEWARE- WE DO NOT PROMISE A FAVORABLE REVIEW.

Our Goal

It is our objective to have reviews of an entire catalog's worth of magic...not simply new products, but old products as well. We feel this is important as more and more people are discovering the joys of magic. Newcomers especially will find reviews of new and classics more helpful than the catalog descriptions and advertising hype we have grown accustomed to.

Even if you have one of the effects we've reviewed, read the COMMENTS section and maybe catch a new tip or performance idea to give new life to an old trick. If you would like to see a review of a particular product, e-mail us and ask.

We are CONSTANTLY EXPANDING so check back often.

To Reveal or Not to Reveal

We went 'round and 'round on this. 'Should we or shouldn't we?' Well we decided that if you're a professional magician, amateur magician, or just a serious student of magic, you should have a good understanding of many basic magic principles.

For example, you should know things like the paddle move. You should be acquainted with a stripped deck. And, you no doubt know what a marked deck is. In the case of a marked deck, as a consumer, you really want to know what makes one marked deck better than the next. Can you see and read the markings or must you have eagle vision, can the audience see them too? This is the information you need to make a decision.

Hence, if we don't reveal that a deck is marked and answer these questions then we are failing you. On the other hand, we have no intention of giving away secrets that we believe are unique or original. And, we have no intention of exposing principles of magic that are not part of the basic understanding of the art of magic.
