Room For Doubt

Type: Close-up Sitting

Skill Level:

Retail Price: $22.50

Effect: The magician tells the audience that a murder has been committed. So saying he shows 3 little pill boxes each containing a miniature murder weapon (like the game CLUE). The spectator "picks" one. The magician then deals out 9 cards each depicting a different room where the murder may have been committed (again like CLUE). The spectator is instructed to place the murder weapon in any room. The magician then places a tape in a tape player and then sits back as a sinister voice instructs the spectator through the rest of the trick. In the end the voice on the tape player not only tells the spectator what room the murder was committed in, but which of the 3 murder weapons they had picked.

Performance Time: 4 minutes

Reset Time: Less than 1 minute

Angles:

Quality: This is of excellent quality, the tape is extremely well produced, the sinister voice has to be heard to be to be appreciated; couple that with sound effects and appropriately mysterious music and you have an extremely well made product. Additionally, the props are clever and pleasant to look at.

Dr. Mitch: This trick is a stunner...the beauty in it is the fact that once the tape hits the tape player, the magician does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.!!! It is so well produced, that years later, people are still remembering me by this trick (it says a lot for either the power of this trick, or my lack of talent) Would I buy it? YES !!! Most definitely.
