Lite-Flite

I am an amateur magician in the IBM ring #244. Unlike Mike....I like invisible thread....granted it is difficult to use and master well....but..I have seen enough card tricks to choke a horse....not that there is anything wrong with cards...but thread work is different ....and mystifying to both magician and laymen. And, not everyone does it..which makes it refreshing.....But enough of this.... ;-)

I, too, found Lite-Flight difficult at first....it needs a smooth, flowing hand....BUT THE SPIN IS VERY IMPORTANT!

You see, while there is a hot spot....when the ball is spinning...the hotspot spins horizontally....but the levitation is vertical and horizontal which adds to the illusion. I suggest, instead of trying to spin the ball in mid-air (which places undue stress on the thread)....start by spinning the illuminous ball on a table surface...then let it levitate from there...it is truly awesome and further eliminates the doubt of magnets or thread...since it floats from the table and then from hand to hand...and finally your pocket...Try it this way it is much easier....
