Invisible Deck

Effect: The spectator is asked to take a card from an invisible
deck, to look and to put it into the deck upside down and replace the deck
back into the pack. Then the spectator returns the invisible pack back
to the magician who shows a real deck he says was the deck the spectator
had and asks the spectator which card was placed upside down. The magician
removes the deck from the pack and shows that only upside down card was
the spectator's.

Quality: Just about all the invisible decks on the market are okay.
As the deck is prepared from an ordinary deck. It all depends on which
back design you like. There are some inferior versions of this trick...with
very cheap cards that are poorly made....if you are going to get one....get
the one that uses Bicycle brand cards.
Mike Maione: This is a gotta-have. Every magician
has an invisible deck and for good reason. It's very easy to perform...you
need zero skill with cards so you can concentrate on your presentation,
and lay people who don't know the trick (and the number is dwindling) go
crazy for this one. You can really have fun with this one presenting it
as described above or any number of other presentations but, don't even
try to fool a fellow magician.
Dr. Mitch: This is one of those
effects that is a constant "must have" in my close-up case. Done
for laymen this is a miracle. When I work the bar, or do table hopping,
this is the one that floors them and draws the big tips. The effect is
THAT strong. If you don't do card tricks...this is the one that you MUST
do. If you do card tricks...match the invisible deck to your ungaffed bicycle
deck and people think that it was the same deck of cards the entire time......I've
had people (and magicians) swear that I did Invisible Deck with ungaffed
cards. (Wrong, its just a good deck switch.)
