Effect: The magician says he has made an investment in three perfect diamonds. Upon spilling them out of their little velvet bag they are revealed to be three lumps of coal. The magician explains that it is a long term investment (30,000,000 years) but eventually they will be three perfect diamonds. The magician then goes on to place two in one hand and one in his pocket. Upon opening his hand, it is seen that the one from his pocket has joined the other two in his hand. The magician then places one in his hand and two in his pocket, after squeezing the lump of coal really hard the hand is opened to show that it has turned into a diamond in the rough. The magician then explains how this is then cut and polished and upon opening his hand again he has a perfectly cut shiny diamond.

Performance Time: About 3 minutes

Reset Time: 30 seconds or less

Angles:

Quality: This is a Dr. Mitch original. Provided you don't loose any of the pieces, it will last forever....well maybe long enough to turn the coal to diamonds....well a really long time.

Dr. Mitch: I'm much too modest to tell you how great this trick is, or how it will make you the hit of the party, or how the girls will be hanging on you like Mick Jagger's groupies, so I'll let Mike tell you.

Mike Maione: Mitch modest? Sure and I taught David Copperfield everything he knows. Well, actually it is a good trick. In fact, it's a very good trick. It does require a few simple sleights and makes use of the one ahead principle, but nothing that a serious beginner couldn't pick up in a short time. If you've read BoBo's Modern Coin Magic then you'll recognize most of the moves from one of the simpler coin routines he does. What makes this trick more fun is the patter and the interesting props. You'll enjoy it.

Oh yeah, if you get this one you'll be the hit of the party and the girls will be hanging all over.......

Take me shopping.
